ALEFEST NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS

We’re excited to announce our 2016 AleFest Dayton Non-profit organizations: 

FIFTH STREET BREWPUB, BREAKING PARKINSONS, DAYTON AREA RUGBY CLUB, WYSO, UPDAYTON, GENERATION DAYTON, FILM DAYTON, MIAMI VALLEY BIKE SHARE, DAYTON OHIO HABITAT FOR HUMANITY, ABBA, SICSA PET ADOPTION, AND PINK RIBBON GIRLS.

Each year, AleFest Dayton invites area non-profits who serve our communities to participate in the festival to help promote awareness of their organization and to receive a donation from the proceeds of the event.  In addition, your organization may submit up to 3 social media posts that we will push out from May through August and will be featured in all eblasts with a link to your website (We can list sponsors along the side of eblasts and all the charity partners in the footer of the eblast)

Organizations are asked to bring 15 volunteers for an afternoon of craft beer pouring fun! Each group will be assigned to cover pouring stations at seven tables (we will keep your group together) and the time commitment is from 1pm to 6:30pm on August 27th. One representative (who will be designated the Brew Captain for your team) will be required to attend a volunteer orientation to be held earlier that week to pick up the teams event t-shirts and get important information to distribute to your team about their duties that day.

We encourage our charity partners to raise awareness for their organization’s services and volunteer needs by putting up banners/posters, distributing marketing collateral that shares your mission/promotes organization needs, and talking with event attendees.  If your organization is interested in participating, please fill out this participation intent form and a coordinator will contact you. Application Deadline: Application due no later than June 30, 2016.

Space for volunteer non-profit organization partners is limited and completing the application process does not guarantee acceptance. You will be notified in writing or email no later than June 30, 2015.

Participation Requirements

  1. Your organization will bring 15 volunteers to serve as brew crew members to pour beer. In exchange, AleFest Dayton will donate $300 to your organization.
  2. There must be a group leader appointed as the Brew Captain that will attend a mandatory meeting to be held the week of Aug. 24th providing training and important information regarding the event day.
  3. Organizations are welcome to bring banners and literature to share regarding their organization on event day. Solicitation of donations is prohibited.
  4. Your organization will be required to submit a W-9 upon acceptance as a volunteer organization for this year’s event.

Basic Volunteer Information:

This event is a rain or shine event! You are expected to be at your shift no matter the weather unless contacted.

Volunteers receive free admission to the festival and an official event staff festival t-shirt!

We expect that our volunteers be committed to making the guests experience as awesome as possible. Drinking while volunteering is frowned upon and any unacceptable behavior will be grounds for immediate removal from the event.
